New Patient Offer: FREE orthodontic consultation to all patients 1st Appointment During your first orthodontic consultation, Dr. Port or Dr. Klein will perform a thorough examination of the face, jaws and teeth. The doctors will tell you if orthodontic treatment is needed and when is the best time to start. The doctors strive to achieve an optimal result in the shortest amount of time. Sometimes that means waiting until some of the child's permanent teeth erupt or for jaw growth to begin. The doctors will follow your child closely to identify the right time to start. Adult patients may need to have other dental care completed prior to starting treatment. We will communicate with your dentist to insure that treatment starts at the optimal time. Whether for our younger patients or our more "mature "patients, rest assured you will be involved every step along the way. 2nd Appointment When orthodontic treatment is recommended, Dr. Port and Dr. Klein will schedule an appointment to take orthodontic records which include digital x-rays and photographs of the face and teeth and impressions of the teeth. This information is used to develop a customized treatment plan and help the doctors gauge progress. 3rd Appointment After Dr. Port and Dr. Klein have studied the orthodontic records, a private consultation will be scheduled to discuss the recommended treatment plan with you in detail. Financial arrangements and coordinated orthodontic insurance benefits will also be discussed at that appointment. For your convenience, our new patient forms are posted online.
