Orthodontics Scheduling

Dr. Port, Dr. Klein and the staff at Affiliated Dental Specialists pride themselves on exceptional patient service. Our patients are always seen on time.

We are open six days a week in two convenient locations. Patients can be easily seen in either the Gurnee or the Vernon Hills offices of Affiliated Dental Specialists.

Orthodontic treatment is sequenced to allow optimal treatment progression. Dr. Port and Dr. Klein will ensure that the best result will be achieved in the most efficient way.

Some appointments vary in length and time of day depending on the individual case. Morning and early afternoon appointments are reserved for procedures requiring more time such as placing or removing braces. These appointments are 30 to 40 minutes in duration. We truly try to minimize the amount of time a patient will need to miss work or school for a visit to our office.

Once treatment has started, patients are generally seen during Orthodontic treatment every 6 weeks and the visits are typically 15 minutes. Afternoon appointments are reserved for the "after school crowd". After their braces have been placed, most adolescent patients visit Dr. Port and Dr. Klein after school for adjustments. We also offer Saturday morning and before work or school adjustment appointments as well. This type of appointment is scheduled for 15 minutes.

If you have an emergency, we will schedule your appointment as promptly as possible. We block emergency time into our daily schedule so that we do our best to stay on schedule and to minimize your waiting.
